dc.description.abstract | Bangladesh is a fast-growing country which is gradually transforming from rural areas to urban. The capital city Dhaka’s urbanization is increasing, breathing spaces for the community are decreasing slowly. So, the government is planning sports complexes which will promote sports and create recreational space for the community at the same time. For example, Sheikh Jamal Sports Complex, Sultana Kamal’s Women Sport Complex, Sheikh Rasel’s Sport Centre. This project is one of the indoor sports complexes which the government is proposing. It is located at Gulshan 2 which is now considered as social hub for the city, a sport complex here would invite city wide users. This space would be a breathing space for the where everyone can break out of their monotonous life and experience sports in a way they never did before. The lack of such facilities has also led to lack of patience and most importantly, it has led to individualism in our youth. Not only it affects our physical wellbeing, it also affects our mental wellbeing. The design is considered to promote connectivity and formulate an interactive building. The design is providing the floor space and outdoor space necessary for the needed sports facilities and create a healthy well-functioning space. The proposed design is to serve the community’s people of all ages and walks as such it provides facilities such as recreational gaming to organized sports and also others like gym, cafe, administration etc. The design attempts to satisfy its requirement with an extra taste of the recreation while promoting connectivity in the neighborhoods. | en_US |
