dc.description.abstract | This study examined the factors motivating employees of The Daily Star during the Covid-19
pandemic crisis. As the government declared lockdown all over the country even the
companies who were equipped with facilities to ensure a Covid-19 free environment using
proper sanitization and maintaining social distances, could not operate properly. Many local
and multinational companies struggled to facilitate enough employees at the offices.
Institutions went to the extent of budget cutting and salary decreases to employee deductions.
Many institutions sent their employees home to work remotely. This new work-from-home
policy added many advantages to the classic work practices. A hard-line media house like
The Daily Star which always depended on the physical presence of employees, a lot of
paperwork, and physical meetings, all had to go through drastic policy making and
implementation to sustain their everyday work process. In this report, I have focused on the
perspective of motivational factors of employees of The Daily Star. | en_US |
