The effect of intensity noise due to the electro-optic intensity modulator will be considered in the analysis in presence of fiber chromatic dispersion. The amount of distortion due to inter-modulation crosstalk was determined analytically. The performance results were evaluated by Mat lab in terms of signal to noise ratio, signal to crosstalk ratio and the bit error rate. The optimum system parameters were determined for a specific BER.64 pagesenBRAC University thesis are protected by copyright.
