The fabric has stood the test of time simply because of its versatility, simplicity and climate-responsive nature. Unfortunately, the existence of this craft has become increasingly endangered by the emergence of cheaper, yet lower quality industrially-produced fabrics. While the new fabric are more popular, Khadi is richer, more context-appropriate and more ecofriendly.
