Breast cancer originates from the breast tissue especially from the inner lining of milk ducts or the lobules that supply the ducts with milk. The MYC gene plays a central role in the proliferation and malignant transformation of animal and human cells. Most of the human malignancies have been reported to have amplification or over expression of this gene. Use of MESH terms like MYC and Breast cancer were used in the selection of studies which fit the selection criteria for inclusion. It was found out that drug molecules like OMO-103, MYCi975, 3’UTRMYC-18 with OMO-103 showing a 49% reduction in tumor volume reduction as well as other molecular targets like Prox1 in combination with existing chemotherapy have showed promising prognosis in the treatment of breast cancer by reducing the overexpression and amplification of MYC gene and its downstream processes.28 pagesenBRAC University theses are protected by copyright.
