Its inherent advantages have made it the current favorite multiplexing technology for optical networks. In this paper, we have analyzed the performance of DWDM link that is corrupted by crosstalk for optical cross connect device.(OXC). Crosstalk is generated when a demultiplexer separates incoming wavelengths onto different output fibers. OXC is a device which is used for switching high speed optical signals. Analysis is included with different OXC configurations. We have shown bit error rate (BER) for OXC. We have also shown that the system suffers from a power penalty.86 pagesenBRAC University thesis are protected by copyright.
