Abstract

Cartography comes from the combination of two Greek words: Chartismeaning map and graphinemeaning to write. Cartography is the study and practice of making maps, and hence a cartographer is an entity- human or machine - tant possesses the ability of charting an area and presenting in a visual form. In this case, it is an autonomous system that moves around on its own in a given area, avoiding obstacles and charting the whole area into map including the said obstacles as parts of the mapped area.
