BRAC University Intellectual Property Policy

Abstract

This policy sets principles, ownership rules, disclosure processes, assessment and commercialization pathways for intellectual property created by BRAC University staff, students and collaborators. Objectives include incentivizing creativity, clarifying interests of inventors and the University, enabling commercialization, and disseminating research while safeguarding institutional and public interests. It defines BRACU/Inventor/Third-party ownership, disclosure and confidentiality requirements, contract/MoU controls, revenue-sharing arrangements, indemnity, conflict-of-interest disclosures, dispute resolution via BIAC, and jurisdiction under Bangladeshi law.
