dc.description.abstractThis paper reports a study on fault analysis on high voltage transmission line between Barapukuria and Bibiyana in Bangladesh. Power Systems Computer Aided Design (PSCAD) simulation tool is used to study both 400 kV single circuit and 400-230 kV double circuit transmission line. The objective of this study is to perform the single and three phase fault analysis in Bogura point and observe the situation of different bus during fault conditions. Result shows that for single circuit line the magnitude of three phase fault current is 16% higher than that of the single phase fault current. The double circuit line shows almost same magnitude of fault current for both of single and three phase fault in Bogura.
