| dc.description.abstract | In today’s data driven world business is becoming more and more dependent on visualizing their key metrics as a way to make informed decisions to fuel their growth. In my internship with Caction, I was fortunate enough to help build the Performance Metrics Feature: a tool that empowers businesses to see real time dashboards of their performance. I had the double role of frontend, backend where I was using Laravel for convenience of dealing with data and Vue.js for building an interactive user friendly interface. Challenges of the project included integrating real time data, optimizing for user experience, and making sure there was seamless communication between the frontend and the backend. These barriers forced me to work my creativity around technical adherence. It also showed me how value and important clear communication and time management is in remote work environment. What ultimately came out of this transformative experience was that it not only deepened my own technical knowledge, but also the confidence and foundation needed to continue to be great in an ever evolving field of software engineering. | en_US |
