dc.description.abstractThere has been an increasing demand of using authentic materials in the foreign language teaching. Writing is one of the important productive skills in English language teaching. The aim of this research is to examine the effectiveness of authentic materials in the writing classes at the tertiary level students. Also, to collect the data the researcher has selected 4 private universities of Dhaka, where the number of the subject was 8 teachers and 100 students. Student questionnaires filled up with 100 students and the teachers' questionnaire filled up with 8 course teachers. This paper also comprises with the few recommendations for a few problem which the researcher found during class observation and data collection.en_US
