Abstract
Directed by Nuhash Humayun, Antara is a Bangladeshi psychological horror film that intertwines magical realism with the intricacies of marital drama. Every film begins with an idea—what sparked the inception of this story, and why was Bangladeshi horror chosen as its medium of expression? This thesis traces the filmmaking journey from initial ideation and screenwriting to the practical challenges of production and distribution in Bangladesh. It also denotes an intimate journey for the director, who co-wrote the script with his mother, Gultekin Khan—an act of collaboration that has become a story in its own right.
