Abstract
This paper investigates the random cognitive radio network based on stochastic geometry. We derive the outage probability considering interference and noise. Based on the newly derived outage probability expression, we determine the energy efficiency expressions of primary and secondary network. Our analysis shows that the outage probability and energy efficiency are better for low density of primary and secondary transmitters. Finally, we find the optimal threshold where the energy efficiency is maximized.
