Synchronized video surveillance system with cloud storage services using OpenStack SAIO

Abstract

Cloud computing is one of the latest technologies we can use to save and secure our data on the internet. In past years people used to save their important data in computer hard drive, memory card, mobile devices but those devices have limited storage space and do not have any backup. If someone's device is destroyed or data is deleted, recovering those data is very much difficult. That's why we prefer cloud storage for storing any kind of data as it provides backup of our data and we can access our data from anywhere and with any device. Then comes a video surveillance system. We use our own cloud storage as the storage device for video surveillance systems. Using proper knowledge about cloud computing and the idea of object storage Swift we tried to build a proper storage system where we can store our big video surveillance data and also nd a way to get those data even after a few years.
