Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) and Delay-Tolerant Network (DTN) exhibit a lack of fixed infrastructure and possess no a-priori knowledge of arrival and departure of hand-held devices (such as cell phones, tablets, portable gaming devices etc.). Hence, the nodes are intermittently connected and sparsely distributed in the network. For outdoing this, in Pocket Switched Network (PSN), we will exploit the device's mobility pattern to transmit messages more rapidly and contribute to the energy conservation and communication efficiency. Therefore, selecting the proper message forwarding algorithm is the foremost factor for efficient message dissemination and resource sharing; which is implemented using the wireless technology (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth). Such kind of method has wide applications in various scenarios such as disaster or war affected areas where regular connectivity methods are not approachable. In this paper, a novel social interest based routing approach called "Gossip" has been proposed which utilizes the social interests of the mobile device carriers to form social profiles for each user and afterwards opportunistically choose the bridging node depending on that to successfully transfer messages.
