dc.description.abstractThe prevalence of GDM was found 14% in this study. Participant with a history of at least one parental diabetes (aOR: 3.049, 95% CI: 1.28-7.254, p < 0.05), prior oral contraceptive use (aOR: 2.910, 95% CI: 1.205-7.027, p <0.05), GDM in previous history (aOR: 64.46, 95% CI: 16.92-245.56, p <0.05), C-section due to GDM-related complications (aOR: 3.626, 95% CI: 1.589-8.227, p<0.05), betel quid chewing (aOR: 2.707, 95% CI: 1.063-6.893, p <0.05) and beverage consumption (aOR: 3.61, 95% CI: 1.60-8.15) emerged as independent risk factors for GDM. Notably, first time pregnancies were associated with lower risk (aOR: 0.280, 95% CI: 0.102-0.773, p < 0.05), indicating a protective effect.en_US
