Performance analysis of a multi-user multiple input multiple output (MIMO) wireless link over a ralyleigh and rician fading environment

Abstract

The performances of a MIMO wireless link are analyzed considering Rayleigh and Rician fading. Maximal ratio combining technique has been considered in the receiver. The expressions for signal to noise ratio and bit error rate (BER) are derived for multiple transmitter and receiver antenna configurations. Performance over SISO environment it is found that if we increase number of transmitting antenna, we are able to get better performance over high variance for MIMO (Multiple input multiple output) systems.
