Artocarpus lacucha or monkey Jack fruit is mainly originated from India and it is a tropical plant. Leaves of Artocarpus lacucha are a great source of antioxidants. For the purpose of maintaining normal health antioxidants from plant source are important because antioxidants help to neutralize ‘’free radicals’’ which are considered as very harmful for human body. Although there are some debates on the actual affectivity of the plant. In this study, determination of antioxidant features of the extract which was acquired from the leaf of Artocarpus lacucha was done in the laboratory by phenol content determination and DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydraziyl) a searching test for free radical. With the motivation of cytotoxic effect determination of the extract brine shrimp lethality test has been done and the value of LC50 were calculated and with standard it was compared. In this experiment, high quantity of phenol was found and also less cytotoxic effect was determined. As well as phytochemical screening of the leaf extracts has been done.en_US
