dc.description.abstract | Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has recently become a common phenomenon. More or less every organization practices CSR and makes people aware of both their existence in the market and their good work for the society. CSR activities in many ways influence public reputation of a company. Chevron Bangladesh is one of the companies that have positive public reputation and also involved in CSR practices. Reputation can be increased by publicizing of CSR practices, involving employees of companies, public’s positive view of their social investment initiatives and public’s positive view of companies’ concern about employees. These are some of the reasons, few companies holding a good impressive image before public. Thus, the aim of this study is to identify the factors related to CSR activities that have effect on Chevron Bangladesh’s public reputation. This research is done by using both primary and secondary data. An online survey is conducted to collect views of people and several previous research papers have been studied in order to support the hypotheses of this study. Regression analysis on SPSS was conducted to get the outcome. Moreover, this study will be very helpful for Chevron Bangladesh to know which areas or CSR activities they should emphasize on in order to enhance public reputation and also leaves a scope for further research. To conclude, to sustain in the competitive market, every organization needs to build good reputation in public and CSR is one of the other ways to do it. | en_US |
