dc.description.abstractCancer is a very complex disease. Many cancers remain incurable. However, risk of cancer can be reduced through appropriate measures. Good lifestyle choices like having a healthy diet, regular physical activity,reducing alcohol consumption, having a sun protection routine, getting checked once in a month etc. can go a long way in reducing risk of cancer. In a low income country like Bangladesh, cancer is a very expensive disease to treat. In this review, we will discuss current cancer control strategies, we will point out cutting-edge discoveries and we will also highlight implications for policy making in Bangladesh.en_US
