dc.description.abstractThis study assesses the prospects of online teaching and learning in Bangladesh with a focus on primary education. It tends to find out the effectiveness of this mode of education as compared to conventional face-to-face education. Meanwhile, it examines the language teachers’ view of this mode of interaction, based on their experience. Moreover, the students also contributed significantly sharing their experience of being taught in such innovative mode of education. This study also finds out the effectiveness of technology in the education system employing a new mode of interaction. The IT expert, education coordinator, education program officer, research and development assistant manager of Jaago online school program provided valuable information on how technology is implemented and can be further improved to conduct the online education program. The social constructivism approach was adopted during the study for a better understanding of the ongoing development of the online teaching and learning. A mixed method of quantitative and qualitative analysis were used to grasp the in depth situation of present condition of OLT in Bangladesh as well as predict the future of it.en_US
