In this contribution a new concept for the development of real-time audio processing on a general-purpose personal computer based on the Real-Time Linux Operating System (Knoppix3.3) is presented. To overcome important difficulties in Windows Operating System such as robustness and low latency, we applied RT-Linux (hard real-time) operating system as a platform. This paper describes the Real Time Audio processing framework. First of all we discussed the objectives we pursue with its development and then we have given an overview of the system from both hardware and software point of view. Next we described the implementation details including hardware module, software module and host module (interfacing) and finally the applications.en_US
