dc.description.abstractThis report is an effort to reflect a clear idea about the strategies, activities and performance of Southeast Bank Ltd. regarding its commercial activities with a special reference to Credit management or Business. The Internship report has been prepared on “Credit Risk Management of Southeast Bank Ltd.” based on primary and secondary data collected from various sources. Now-a-days, Banks and Financial Institutions are becoming very competitive and various kinds of services and products provided by financial institutions are increasing with rapid growth. The information used in the report has been collected from various sources such as published materials like annual report, the credit manual of SEBL, daily statement of affairs of SEBL Dhanmondi branch and articles related to banking activities. This report has been prepared to represent the available product & service facilities, service quality, their efficiency to serve customer, terms and conditions etc. Southeast Bank always tries to launch new products and services according to customers taste and preference. SEBL works with the aim to achieve service excellence and maximize shareholder’s value. SEBL has a total of 114 branches all over Bangladesh. SEBL also have to consider their fees and charges & their formal procedure and should change them and from the financial performance analysis it is found that, Southeast Bank Ltd. had some difficulties in the past, but in the last five years, it experienced growth in their operations. Their special banking services like – Internet Banking, Online Banking etc. are very effective to create customer satisfaction. Southeast bank Ltd. had significantly reduced its various risk elements. All of its credit risk exposures show that the management has been able to reduce the credit risk. There are more Private Banks in Bangladesh and that is why competition is very high, so it becomes a challenge for SEBL to retain its existing customers. There is a fact that SEBL is always very conscious about its consumer banking and always tries to adapt to changes over time and wants to modernize its products and services.en_US
