The disabled children-blindness and visual impairment being one of them are the most deprived of education right in Bangladesh. When quality education is a critical component of child development and a means of self empowerment, independence and social integration— disabled children are disentitled of this component as well This paper is mainly focused on the importance of a space for blind children. This paper also highlights the universal accessibility consideration both interior and exterior of the buildings or any space. The design process consider the suitability of site, necessary functions and the main aim of the project is to make the people conscious about universal accessibility and make the blind children a part of our social and cultural activity which will in turn make these children more strong, honest and self confident. In Bangladesh there is about a population of 40000 blind children and most of them live in the rural areas where they receive minimum attention. There are many organizations working in order to educate them and many eye hospitals working in close collaboration. Some are treated and receive therapy. But those who remain untreated are mostly deserted from the society because they cannot adapt to a normal life like others. A blind child not only needs education but also is in dire need of a center which will guide him to lead his life and prepare him to live in a 'society' .So, there should be no doubt about the necessity of this project as it benefits that part of the society which has been neglected for so long. Architecture has the power to empower them and change their lives. So this center will be aimed at the betterment of the lives of these blind children who are greatly ignored.
