dc.description.abstractDepression is a prevalent and significant medical condition that has a profound impact on our emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. It is a prominent global illness, classified as one of the top four major disorders and a leading cause of disability. The high incidence of depression among adults is a notable concern that adversely affects their daily activities. The diminished motivation and decreased proficiency in everyday tasks are often ascribed to both environmental and human influences. This study is conducted on the student population of Bangladesh, aiming to evaluate and determine the prevalence of depression. The data can be used to investigate various parameters such as socioeconomic circumstances, academic performance, familial challenge, chronic ailments, that might be influencing the incidence of depression. The results had shown the prevalence of 49.1% depression was seen among the students and various risk factors were seen to have a significant impact leading to depressive disorder.en_US
