dc.description.abstract | The most practical method as a safeguard against intrusive cervical cancer is to obtain a preventive vaccination against the human papillomavirus (HPV). Women from Bangladesh have a higher risk of getting cervical cancer, which occurs second most frequently. In this research work, a survey was conducted using a questionnaire to evaluate the acceptability of HPV vaccination among Bangladeshi women for the prevention of cervical cancer. In the study, 73 volunteers participated, among them 64.4% of participants were aware of the availability of the HPV vaccine, and over 97.3% of them had heard about cervical cancer. However, only 28.8% of the participants had received the HPV vaccination. Among the participants, 76.7% had adolescent daughters, 80.7% of whom had received the vaccine through their schools or madrasas offered by the Bangladesh Government in 2023. Based on the findings of this study, the majority of the female participants have not received the vaccination and were not willing to do so, while the majority of their daughters received it. | en_US |
