dc.description.abstractIn more detail, this dissertation is focused on the assessment of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC (IBBPLC) activities with a special reference to export financing. The research work comprises three principal chapters, which discuss various aspects of the organisation and the period of internship at the company. There are the following categories of information presented in Chapter One of the internship: Victimization, student profile details, particulars of internship, job description, and intern/job results. The activities focus on the tasks and duties performed during the internship These may range from managing customer relations in the ADC department; data analysis in the Investment department and administrative work in the general banking department. These activities were informative and helpful in developing staff practical experiences that enabled personal and professional development. Chapter 2 discusses the organizational strategies of IBBPLC which include the management methods, marketing initiatives, business financial results and operation management. It will contain an evaluation of the leadership, human resource management, marketing channels, financial structures and the information systems used by the company. Also, SWOT and Porter ‘five industry forces analysis have been followed to analyse the competitive position of the bank in the industry. Chapter 3 is dedicated exclusively to the project aspect, where our discussion is devoted to IBBPLC’s export financing management. Section two of this study contains a background review, objective, significance, methodology and findings/analysis. In the course of the study, challenges and opportunities of export financing are outlined along with suggestions on ways in which bank procedures and policies can be improved. In summary, this dissertation provides profound implications for analysing IBBPLC’s operations and strategic management recommending a fundamental priority of export financing as a pivotal factor for the bank to retain the competitive advantage in the financial industry. Vulnerability management and its implications are designed to make a general academic contribution to the body of knowledge, as well as offer recommendations that may result in practical enhancements to the export financing procedures of the bank.en_US
