আনন্দ অঙ্গন: training and rehabilitation center for the destitute children, Konabari, Gazipur
Abstract
The state of destitute children in Bangladesh continues to be a pressing societal concern,
characterized by high levels of poverty, lack of access to education and healthcare. These
children frequently experience psychological trauma, exploitation, and malnourishment, all of
which severely hinder their potential for growth. This paper proposes a comprehensive design
for an institute aimed at training and rehabilitating destitute children in Bangladesh. In order to
empower these children, the proposed institute will provide a holistic approach, integrating
education, vocational training, healthcare, and psychological support. The institute seeks to
assist the reintegration of destitute children into society as independent and productive
individuals by providing a nurturing and supportive environment. The goal of this project is
for these children’s quality of life to significantly improve, by providing interactive spaces to
encourage communication and activities that would help the children become psychologically
stable as they learn to cope with everyday norms, breaking the cycle of poverty and contributing
to the socio-economic development of Bangladesh.
