dc.description.abstract"The research delves into the complex relationship between the non-ionizing radiation (NIR) under the segment of electromagnetic fields (EMF) emitted from cell phones and the health complications of the residents of Dhaka city. The data on EMF levels of cell phones, usage parameters, and associated symptoms among the participants from Dhaka city were collected and analysis was done through a cross-sectional study design. To establish this connection, analysis by statistical approach was conducted between electric frequency (EF) vs. mobile networks, magnetic frequency (MF) vs. mobile networks, radio frequency (RF) vs. mobile networks, mobile usage duration (year) vs. symptoms, and mobile usage duration (hour) vs. symptoms. Results derived from the analysis indicated extensive usage of 4G mobile networks among the respondents, with most NIR measurements cohering to established safety threshold levels. However, younger individuals with heavy usage of cell phones were found to be heavily susceptible to symptoms like blurry vision, headaches, and insomnia. As relations have been found between those parameters, it can be said that prolonged usage of cell phones might have other health concerns, which could end up developing tumors and cancers."en_US
