P Footwear and Rubber Industry, is a footwear manufacturing company that uses plastic and rubber as raw materials for their production. As the concern for the environment is rising among consumers and the government, the company has taken several steps to reuse and reduce its plastic usage. In my executive summary, I will analyze the company's performance and capabilities to address these issues. Bangladesh is already facing numerous environmental problems caused by plastic waste due to a poor waste management system. To solve these problems the government of Bangladesh has already implemented several guidelines for plastic manufacturers and set a target to reduce the use of virgin materials by reusing and recycling plastic waste. To reduce the use of virgin materials the government has increased the tax on importing plastic raw materials. materials. SP Footwear and Rubber Industry Ltd adopted sustainable practices in their production process in order to survive in this situation and to stay competitive in the market. Recently they have started a recycling plant where they recycle used plastic and turn them into raw materials that can be used to produce new products. However, the plan is not feasible due to inadequate research and lack of advance technology. To achieve sustainability in the footwear industry more research needs to be done and advanced technology should be implemented by this sector.en_US
