dc.description.abstract | Nilkhet is the second largest second-hand book market located in Bangladesh. Even though
many people visit the market for academic and recreational purposes, the organic growth of
the market has made it difficult to pass through and closed up the social and religious spaces
that were once connected with the neighbourhood. This thesis identifies the problems located
within the market to improve the density currently located and the entire market is
regenerated with the studies and analysis done to connect the market to the surrounding
neighbourhood, to create a breathable open area for the thousands of users. Lastly, a detailed
design of the market along with additional functions are proposed to regenerate the market. | en_US |
