Evidence suggests that when fathers bond with their children from the early years of life, they play a more active role in their child’s development. Research also shows that when children positively interact with their fathers, they have better psychological health, self-esteem and life-satisfaction in the long-term (UNICEF, 2018). This research attempted to explore the father’s perception on their involvement in 3-5 years old children’s development. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and group discussions. This study revealed that most of the fathers have good knowledge about child development. They tried to explain about child development by saying it as a holistic development which covers physical, mental and social development of a child and it starts from the birth. In terms of practice, it has found out that fathers gave emphasis on spending quality time with the children. They also help in daily activities of their children. They also help their children to be self-reliant. So, in the changing context of nation as well as to reach higher destination more activities, trainings and programs can be taken to promote the importance of ECD.en_US
