Exploring different aspects of public relations at Backpage PR
Abstract
Public relations (PR) is the activity of controlling and distributing information from an
organization or an individual to the public in an effort to influence how they are seen by the
general public. A public relations agency can handle situations that involve assessing the
public's point of view and determining if an organization or an individual’s policies and
procedures are in the general public's best interests. The main target of a public relations
agency is to construct plans and carry out programs that demand actions to win the acceptance
and comprehension of the general population. A public relations agency works for national and
international organizations and companies that want to create connections with their target
market which are mainly the general people. Also, sometimes when foreign companies start to
work in a country like Bangladesh, a public relations agency work for them to create their
establishment and credibility among the local target audience. In this paper, I will present a
theoretical approach, several aspects of public relations agencies, and the learning experiences I
had throughout my three months internship program.
