Merchandising Cycle of SQ Celsius Ltd.
Abstract
This report is prepared based on my three (03) months practical experience in my working
department (PDC) of SQ Celsius Ltd. This internship helped me to have a practical idea about
own department & factory of SQ Group. SQ Group is one of the largest Knit Vertical
Integrated Garments, Textile & backward-forward industries in Bangladesh which is equipped
with all kinds of modern machineries and other facilities. SQ Group always tries to provide
their level best support to all of their Buyers with better Quality. It has not only a large
production capacity but also has a smart team to provide quality product to their customers.
There are twelve department to run the organization. Each department has a specific activity
and role for the organization. The departments are Merchandising, supply chain, planning, IE,
Production, Store, accounts & finance, Logistic & commercial, MIS, ERP, HR & compliance,
product development. During the intern ship I’ve worked in eleven department by closely
working physically. I have collected data about their working method and how they manage
their department. And finally, I emphasised on merchandising department to find out the chain
that interlink with all the other department.
By the attending such an intern ship I’ve gathered hue practical knowledge about all the
department on RMG industry. This gives me a clear idea about effectively managing quality
assurance needs throughout supply chains and mitigate risks in terms of quality, health, safety,
social responsibility, and environment, thus protecting brand reputation and minimize costs.
I’ve also received knowledge about how to manage productivity, efficiency, utilizing of
capacity, machine, resources. And finally able to get a clear view about merchandising chain.
