Gs comprise 17 goals and 169 targets to tackle multiple and complex challenges of 21st century faced by the human race. The United Nations Organizations along with several organizations, NGOs have been working hard to achieve the goals through conferences, research, campaigns. In retrospect, it is alarming that the SDGs failed to control Antibiotic Resistance, threatening the global economy and health worldwide. As seen during COVID-19 pandemic, simple hygiene measures, e.g., washing hands frequently, wearing masks, using sanitizers, can play an important role in battling infectious microorganisms. One must grow awareness to stop illogical antibiotic prescription, to reduce overall infections and to educate people about the possible disastrous impact of ABR. This review aims to draw the attention of healthcare workers and policymakers, healthcare agencies to recognize the importance of targeted hygiene and preventing and controlling the ABR to achieve the SDGs.en_US
