dc.description.abstract | Project-based learning (PBL) is a holistic teaching-learning approach that focuses on the structure of inquiry that addresses core content through hands-on learning. It is a student-centred approach where learners are prompted to take responsibility of their own education and develop essential skills in the process. The main aim of conducting this research was to learn about the implementation of PBL and how it promotes students’ learning in the higher secondary level of education. Learning more about this teaching-learning approach and its effectiveness could allow future incorporation of this strategy into the current educational practices in the country. In order to conduct my research, a qualitative approach was followed and the data for the study was collected through interviewing research participants, teachers and students, from one of the prominent IB schools in the country. The findings of the research gave me a vivid idea into the current practices of this teaching-learning methodology and the positive impact that it has on students’ overall development. It has enabled me to understand how PBL is implemented in the classroom and how it benefits the learners, not only in terms of acquiring knowledge but also how it helps them to evolve and progress as individuals by building skills such as collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and problem solving. | en_US |
