dc.description.abstract | The youth population of Bangladesh is 50.67 million (Census, 2011). Therefore, to provide the one third of total population with proper guidance and institutional support to involve the youth in socio economic activities and encourage them towards productive employment, the Ministry of Youth Development was established in 1978.and the Department of Youth Development in 1981. Since then, Department of youth development has been working for the skill development providing training facilities suitable for the time period.
The vision of the youth development department is to involve the youth in mainstream of nation development process by making them organised, disciplined and productive workforce. To materialise the vision, they provide the youth training facilities along with accommodation so that the unemployed and youth from remote areas can avail the training facilities.
Rajabarihaat youth training centre is one of such project which intends to create a platform for the local unemployed youth (aged 18 to 35 years) to advance their proficiency through the trainings introduced by the department of Youth Development. | en_US |
