In the early years of science museums, collections of private materials, historical specimens
were shown as exhibits. Over the centuries science museums have developed from
showcasing historical remains to fully interactive hands on experience exhibits. Modern
science museum acts as a science centre providing research, training and product selling and
promotion thus mostly known as a science centre. In Bangladesh creative minds do not have
a proper platform for sharing their knowledge and promoting skills which leads to a
knowledge gap between creators and users. Regarding the context of the current scientific
extent in our country and considering the evolution of science museums, a museum is a
potential solution for knowledge sharing platforms. Thus it should ensure four fundamental
points such as bridging the gap, mutual platform, public education, and adopting the ever
changing nature of scientific advancement. Site surrounding was analyzed considering
pedestrian movements around theold museum which led to designinga thoroughfare keeping
in mind that people tend to subconsciously engage with surrounding activities. Central civic
space was created in the middle of the thoroughfare and proposed programs were clustered
around it. Treatments of exterior facades were solved according to climatic conditions
utilizing modern energy efficient materials. Considering all the facts the designed museum
providesmaximumpublicaccessibilityandreflectsanextrovertshowcasingexperience.
