This internship has been completed by joining three months internship program in The Daily Observer. The main purpose of this internship is to observe the application of theoretical knowledge into a practical one. The objective of this report is to scrutinize print media and journalism, especially in the ‘Editorial’ and ‘Op-ed’ sectors. For starting the internship, I have to know all the theories first. Without knowing this, I am not allowed to sit for the internship. That is why I had to complete 8 major courses in the ‘Media and Cultural Studies stream and then I will be allowed for the internship. While doing an internship, I did not need to analyze all the theories, I need to know the writing style of a newspaper as I was assigned in the ‘Editorial’ and ‘Op-Ed’ these are the right sectors. Most of the articles came from The Daily Observer's official email address. We had to choose among these for the ‘Editorial’ and ‘Op-ed’. At first, I faced some difficulties when I start working in this sector. But I feel privileged for my wonderful supervisor and colleagues. Apart from this, educational knowledge also helped me in my work sector I would like to my faculties who taught me the courses. This report consists of five chapters. The first chapter is an introductory part of the report which describes the origin of the newspaper, the rise of the newspaper, and the history of The Daily Observer. Here I also share my experiences about what I have learned from The Daily Observer in Chapter 02. What I also have been learned from my BRAC University life and my practical field, I also share this in my report in Chapters 03 and 04. Finally, I ended the report by giving recommendations and work citations to put together a good report. I have also kept ‘Appendix’ as proof of the work I did at The Daily Observer.en_US
