Mapped in Bangladesh (MiB) is a first-ever research initiative of its kind in Bangladesh for export- oriented RMG industry. Previously known as Digital RMG Factory Mapping in Bangladesh (DRFM-B), the objective of the project is to enable transparency and accountability of the sector. Being aligned with the nation’s mandated “Digital Bangladesh Vision 2021”, this project adopts a participatory and collective action approach with public and private governance entities as an evidence-based decision- making tool for sector stakeholders. The project is being coordinated by Brac and funded by the Laudes Foundation and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands (EKN). The project has received strategic support from Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE) and has also formed strategic partnership with two apex trade associations, Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA).
