dc.description.abstract | The Software Technology Park became a functioning ICT office space a year after the ICT division was established in 2014. After running a successful pilot project, it was apparent this industry would see immense growth soon. This boom has led to a need of additional office space to house more employees and make the space function more efficiently. Even though the existing office is arbitrarily a functioning space, they are in dire need of non-workspace facilities. The lack of such facilities has also led to a drop in revenue collected from renting out the office spaces. The proposed extension project therefore provides the floor space needed and attempts to create a healthy, well-functioning office space which is also economically sustainable. Multiple facilities like start-up floors, cafeterias, gaming areas and other breakout spaces in the form of outdoor cafes and other green spaces that flows throughout the building has been created to make a healthier environment for the employees. The project is made to serve the original building as such that it provides the office the necessary space and facilities. It does nott take attention and importance away from the existing building while being uncompromising about its own identity. | en_US |
