Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a significant segment of any trustworthy
organization. The CSR assets can be used for the nation's advancement in innovative and
sustainable ways. Such a creative methodology has been taken by Chevron, under their
Bangladesh Partnership Initiative (BPI), through financing a three-year skills development
project called Uttoron - skills for better life. Uttoron's drives address the abilities improvement
issues and encourages enlistment by overcoming any barrier between employers and
employees. Its distinctive multi-layered learner selection process, fit-for-purpose trade
selection, and industry association alongside broad partner commitment make the project
special. Not only Uttoron but also Chevron has many other CSR activities that they hold for
the betterment of the host country such as; SHIKHON and Jibika. Side by side, they have also
contributed a lot to the healthcare sector of the country.
The innovative use of Chevron's CSR subsidize is exclusive, however it is additionally intended
to motivate and be adapted by different organizations and ventures for financial welfare and
advancement. Such practices will allow Bangladesh to accomplish its objective of turning into
a poverty-free middle-income country and to make an inclusive and fair society, which will
also help lessen the gender differences in the labor market.
In this report, I have conducted a research on the CSR activities conducted by Chevron in
Bangladesh. These activities have helped our country to reach a higher extent of development.
In the project part, I have displayed a broader analysis of these activities which helped us to
advance at a larger scale in different aspects and also provided huge support to the people who
are deprived of getting their basic & moral rights.
