The world has seen massive success of EdTech startups like Byju’s and Khan Academy. It is now time for Bangladesh to embrace a new era of education enabled by technology. Yoda is such a startup that wants to pioneer the online education sector of the country via LMS (learning management system), as opposed to MOOC (massive open online courses) that is followed by the 10 Minutes School. Yoda has developed its own proprietary online education platform called WAVE: Whiteboard Audio Visual Environment. This is aimed to make a virtual classroom where tutors/teachers can remotely take classes of an averaged-sized class, in an optimized setting and in real-time. The software had its soft-launch at the beginning of the COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) quarantine, to a select few institutes and tutors. The purpose of the report is to determine the market for such a technology, provided that the education industry will see seismic changes in the post pandemic era. This report illustrates the global market size for online education, the local addressable market size, and its significance.en_US
