A stent implantation nowadays is the most common percutaneous coronary intervention. Stent restenosis is a major problem for stent implementation into the body. Stent restenosis is a vascular reaction which leads to stent injury. This study describes the the process of three dimensional stent designing for the treatment of atherosclerosis. Three-dimensional (3D) printing is an additive manufacturing technique that holds great significance in the future of medical technology. As a potential method for preventing stent restenosis, the drug eluting stent has recently been suggested. Moreover, this study is originally designed to examine the firm mechanical effects of the dynamic stent design and atherosclerotic plaque coarseness in a diseased artery wall model on the heart muscle. 3D software often used to design a more efficient stent for the treatment which contains the Evarolimus drug. This project puts emphasis on establishing a 3D stent for the medication of atherosclerosis.
