dc.description.abstractJuvenile Correctional Facilities have always been associated with punitive ideologies in a confined harsh environment which does not aid to the rehabilitative reformations in the juvenile minds. Due to the evolution of justice systems worldwide, this image is coming to cease and these facilities are treated more like a skill training and development center for the youth. This Youth Development Center provides better learning environment through skill training and integration with the community for interactive learning and psychological development as a means to reform juvenile offenders to the rehabilitative nature of the facility. This paper seeks to establish how the architectural design of Youth Development Center can be used to fulfil the objective of reformation while providing the best suitable environment for all its users.en_US
