This research studies contemporary science fiction to explore the possibilities of a unifying
vision. This vision is an urgent necessity as departmentalization has already divided the
world into numerous disconnected parts. Races clash, boundaries are built and the ecology of
the earth is rapidly advancing towards extinction. Colonization is taking newer forms where
exploitation of the periphery is getting extreme day by day.
A few notable researchers have been moving from departmentalization to a holistic vision to
study and perceive the world. Ludwig Von Bertalanffy, Fritjof Capra,
HumbertoMaturanahave thought about sustainable living system. Sustainable living system
has incorporated the interconnectivity among things/matter. Nothing is separate and
individual but the cosmos is eternally functioning on the basis of interconnectivity. Human
beings have created trans-humans with the aim of mitigating the limitations that do not allow
them conquer the natural world. This drive to conquer has lead human beings to
departmentalize themselves which eventually has separated themfrom the greater
interconnected network of nature. This research employing system theory tries to discover
the possibilities of a self-sustaining living system within human beings will be able to survive
in harmony with nature.
