dc.description.abstractThe aim of the research is to document undergraduate students’ perception and preferences as well as teachers’ perception regarding the EAP course at tertiary level which can be continued as a significant issue for language research. This study has been done to discover areas for development, a blending of qualitative and quantitative methods of data gathering were used. The results of the survey and interview showed that both students and teachers are aware of the lacking that exist in learners expected English language proficiency level compared to the actual proficiency level which is seen when students enroll at universities. Learners’ lack of the knowledge of the language is one of the major reasons for their not being able to use four study skills appropriately and efficiently. The researcher collected both students’ and teachers’ responses with the help of survey and interview questionnaire to find the best possible answer to central research question and to improve and optimistically meet the particular needs of students connected to their success in their academic endeavors and acquisition of academic materials and contents as well as in professional endeavors.en_US
