This studyfocused on the interrelationship between good governance and the development of a nation. The main motivation is to determine the impact of good governance on the economic, social and political development of Afghanistan. This study has adopted quantitative research methodology. A sample of 100 participants is used to collect the data for the present study. This study collected primary data using a standard survey questionnaire and secondary data from externalsources, websites and journals. The study results revealed that there is a positive significant relationship between strategic alliance and strategic planning, Risk management, Audit, Fraud control, quality performance, financial resourcing, human resource management and Infrastructure and facilities. The results suggested that since 2001, there has been an unsteady rise and fall in the effectiveness of these factors leading to a failed governance and poor development. From the primary data analysis, it can be concluded that more attention should be paid by the ruling government in developing the nation through ameliorating the standards of functionality of the government organizations and meeting the basic need of the citizens especially by forming a ‘no-violence’ environment within the nation.en_US
