dc.description.abstractThis study examines the present scenario of English teaching in the secondary level of Bangladeshi Bangla medium classroom. All of we know, English has become very important today. But it has been very difficult to Bangladeshi leaners. If you are a teacher of English, your English has to be good, it will be beneficial for the next generation. Bangladeshi leaners are suffering very much, because Bangladeshi teachers do not teach well. So my purpose is to find out exact problems and tries to get solutions for the improvement of Bangladeshi learners. NCTB is telling, English for Today has been written according to the CLT method. The current study wants to find out whether teachers are using CLT methods while they are teaching ‘English For Today’. This study examines teachers teaching strategies or style, which method they are applying in the classroom and how much it is fruitful for students. This paper tries to find out all problems of students and teachers. The participants of this research belong to four schools of Dhaka and one from Tangail district. They are of secondary level students of class nine and ten. 24 closed- questions, open-ended questions, interview questions have been used for teachers and students. Finally, this paper tries to present findings based on the survey.en_US
