This report title “Factors Affecting Students’ Become a Chartered Accountant & Challenges
Faced by the Students’ of ICAB” is standout of BBA internship program. In the internship
program, it helps us to apply our understanding of academic knowledge into practical field.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) is the National Professional
Accounting Body in Bangladesh, established under the Bangladesh Chartered Accountants
Order, 1973 (President's Order No. 2 of 1973) for the purpose of regulating the profession of
accountants and for matters connected there with.
This report tries to explain the different types of factors which create an attraction to become a
CA and difficulties faced by the students of the chartered accountancy profession. A survey
was conducted on the basis of some factors– gender, previous educational background, and
family income. On the other hand, common problems faced by the students such as - article
ship time period, convenience of class timings, quality of lectures, study manuals, exam leave,
pay scale, etc.
